Enjoy the Benefits of Body Waxing

Ageless Aesthetic Health Spa provides body waxing to Houston, TX-area patients who want to remove body hair. Waxing is an effective method of hair removal, and our aestheticians understand how to do so safely and effectively. Body waxing is the most commonly-utilized hair removal technique used in our spa, and we’re thrilled to offer it each day. It reduces hair growth when we perform the procedure once every 30 days, so we’re sure to offer standing appointments for your convenience.

What to Expect from a Body Waxing Appointment

To prepare for your body waxing appointment, we recommend our patients grow their hair out to roughly a half-inch above the skin because if the hairs are too short, the wax won’t adhere. Also, do not take a shower or bath before the treatment because both will soften the hairs and make it more difficult to remove unwanted hair cleanly. Lastly, we strongly discourage applying any lotion to targeted areas because it will further reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. During the procedure, we follow these steps:

  • We utilize an antiseptic cream and clean the area. Sometimes, our aestheticians dust the area with baby powder to dry the skin.
  • We either use hard or soft wax. Hard wax is best used in sensitive areas, such as underarms, your face, and bikini areas. Soft wax requires a cloth strip to rip the hairs out.
  • Most patients tolerate body waxing, but it might take some time to get used to it. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different.

What to Do Following Your Body Waxing Appointment

Ageless Aesthetic Health Spa will send you home with detailed aftercare instructions following the treatment. These steps prevent ingrown hairs, breakouts, and other reactions. We usually recommend exfoliation and discourage the use of bar soap because the film it leaves on the body can cause ingrown hairs. Please avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours following the treatment. Feel free to ask us any questions you have during your consultation.
